Sea Point takes three tracks from Templeton’s Inland album, exposing them to vinyl for the first time, and includes three new tracks which are exclusive to this release. The album closer reverses and sees a fitting beginning here, as it’s namesake implies, becoming the opener on the A1 side and setting the tone for the remaining pieces on this EP. The new tracks on Sea Point were made right after finishing Inland, and they continue to exhibit the subtlety and fuzzy, crackly acoustic-based processes, sheering themselves of extraneous parts and leaving delicate strums and echoing backgrounds of abstracted phrases. While they further the themes and approach, they can be heard as almost the trails of the larger work, the resonating ideas and sounds that lingered long after their origins were complete.

Mutek just put out a V/A of past Canadian performers and one of my tracks is featured. Telepathy will be one of a few tracks released on a new 12″ on Anticipate. Should be out within the next month. Until then you can download the track from iTunes.

Seems as though Acre Loss is being treated as a project where I exclusively did the music and aAron the visuals. This is not the case. We created the music together. We created the visuals together. Collaborative throughout.

I’ve been working on 3 tracks for an upcoming 12″ that will be released on Anticipate in the near future. It’ll feature 2-3 unreleased tracks, along w/ a few tracks from Inland. Which is scheduled to be released in May.
Also, some of the Anticipate artists have been talking about posting some of their live sets on the Facebook page. If you’ve not already joined the group you can do so through the label’s site.

I recently received season 3 of the original Star Trek for Christmas. I’ve been watching 2 to 3 episodes a day. I often put it on while I fall asleep. I think the sounds have been affecting my subconscious and the music I’ve been creating.
